ASUS Zenwatch 3, was amazing when it released but sadly Google ruined it with WearOS overtime. I'm currently waiting for AsteroidOS to gain full compatibility with it so I can use it again as a non-independant watch.

Do you own and use a smart watch? Or perhaps a traditional "dumb" watch? Or no watch at all and rely on another device such as a cellphone?

If you do own a smart watch what brand is it?

Apple Watch Series 4 - wife has the Series 5

Very nice looking watch, happy with it?

So far I am happy with it, it is far better at sports/fitness/health tracking than the Apple Watch Series 2 I had which is exactly what I was looking for, plus the battery life is excellent. I also bought the HRM Tri heart rate belt, optical wrist sensors aren't known for being accurate and I had sporadic issues with my Apple Watch Series 2. Technology has really moved on since I last used my Polar S720i, which I still have but the batteries have long been empty.

Yes, Pebble Time.

Didn't we have a thread like this not too long ago?

It's possible, even probable, but I've only recently taken over the QoD so there will inevitably be some dups along the way.

Yes, a forerunner 25 but I only use it to record my runs :)
It's a very basic watch, I don't even get heart rate

Real men don't wear watches and schit
Lol
I have less patience with someone who doesn’t wear a watch than with anyone else, for this type is not time-conscious. In all our deeds, the proper value and respect for time determines success or failure. — Malcolm X

Used to have a smarth watch. Now i just use a dumb watch to work or I just use my phone.

Smart watches are overrated and I won't ever buy one. Won't mind using one for a while if I get it with a contract like before though

I think the issue is more that lots buy it for the status symbol instead of actual usability.
If jogging/hiking/cycling, it's actually pretty nice to have, and then for me, being able to time track on my watch instead for work is a lot better than having to go back to the PC when I forget to turn off my time tracker.
Then the usual discover vitality, swapping from phone to watch for steps increased my step count quite a bit as I leave my phone at my desk most of the time, and heart rate monitoring for exercise points.

I'm wanting to get a newer Garmin or Galaxy active due to the fall detection, I've been in a few cycling accidents already, but always had a friend close, but do want to go out on my own at times, so thinking more along the lines of safety to have it.

Kind of. I quit every few months to return to frustration free living. Then I give it another bash every now and again to check if Google has shown any love to wearOS.

Apple watch, use it as a golf GPS and for Strava and counting my daily steps for discovery

I wear an old dumb TAG F1, which is not exactly prized by collectors, although I like it. I don't run with a watch at all, but I note my start and end time on routes I know. But then I am not a competitive sportsman. I prefer to disengage, enjoy the surrounds, listen to my body and become aware of its feedback. I will never do the hamster-on-a-wheel thing for Discovery, although they can feel free to track my gym visits (whenever those resume...). I view rocking up at the gym with the earbuds, music player, compression gear, protein shake, blah as faintly ridiculous - but to each his own.
I do see a use case for emergencies, geocaching, organising groups, hiking etc.

I have yet to test this but based on my mountain biking history I shouldn't have to wait long.
