Use it if not doing my usual 14km commute to and from work (because I have been stuck on well known routes for long times due to accidents because I didn't use it), or if I know there has been a big accident on highway in afternoon for my 14km commute home, so it gives me the route with the least congestion.

I use HERE WeGo offline maps when I'm out of signal area in places like Nam, Moz or Lesotho. Google Maps for everything else.
