Do you use your 'Windows' key?

One of the most under used keys on my keyboard ;)
I use almost all the functions you can use with it.

Depends on what I am doing of course, But I usually either have two hands on the keyboard to type, or one hand on the mouse and one on the keyboard. So its a lot faster to use the short-cut keys than lifting one hand off the keyboard, to move the mouse, to move the mouse to only have to move the curser again afterwards.

In the order I use them most
Windows Key + E = Open Explorer
Windows Key + D = Desktop. (Press again to return where you were)
Windows Key + R = run command.
Windows Key + Pause/Break= Systems Properties
Windows Key + L = Lock PC
Windows Key + F = Windows Search
Windows Key + Tab = Cycle Task Bar.
Windows Key + M = Minimizes all .
Windows Key + Shift + M Windows = Return all windows
Windows Key + F1 = Windows Help

EDIT: And I should learn to type faster. See it was all put in while I was thinking of them all

Im terminally lazy....

One mouse click as opposed to two keys having to be pressed just makes more sense to me :)

Maybe time it freshy, go move and click it and then time holding down windows and pressing d, faster that way :)

Just because it requires one click does not mean you do not have to move the mouse :p

I use mine on a daily basis. Only use four of the combinations, though.

Windows Key + D, L, R, Pause. Oh yes, also to open the Start menu when I want my PC to hibernate :D

Ctrl-Alt-Del + Enter to lock the work station.

Clock the start knobbie thing for everything else. :)

I used to do that on XP, but it does not work so well with Vista. When you press Ctrl-Alt-Del there is a slight delay before the list of options pop up, so if you press Enter it does nothing

Win + L on Vista ;)

Do you have any idea how many times Windows Key + L to lock the desktop has saved me from rebooting. Sometimes a game or something loads incorrectly and I cant return to my desktop... ctrl-alt-del will open but I cant see it and I cant click anywhere.

Just press the lock button (or windows key l for those without a lock button) and you regain control..

No need for the reset button which I hate pressing. luckily have not had the need to in a long long time.

and as my system stands it reads...

Uptime: 8 Days 23 hours 50 Minutes 05 Seconds

If you have Microsoft Office OneNote installed, then you can make screengrabs using Win+S or create a new sidenote using Win+N.
Btw OneNote has a really nifty feature - once you've made a screengrab as an image of any part of your screen, it can OCR the image and extract the textual content ... haven't stumped it yet!

Screen grabs can be done with Ctrl/Alt + Print screen button with almost all versions of windows. Ctrl grabs the whole screen. Alt grabs the current window

For those Win + D users there's another tool,
Taskbar properties > Toolbar > Desktop

ROFL, I imagine that's quite impressive for windows.
I'd say its more user based :D My windows PC's at work are lucky if they make it through the day without me getting a call to fix something that somebody broke. My PC at home, hasn't been off in a month
