February 23, 2006, 19:30

Three deputy directors-general have been appointed to the department of communications. Keith Shongwe would be responsible for strategic policy coordination, integration and internal affairs, and Harold Wesso for policy development, the department said in a statement.

Harry Mathabathe, the department's chief financial officer, has also been appointment to a deputy director-general position.

Shongwe was formerly a senior general manager for the State Information Technology Agency, and Wesso led the information technology programmes of the Western Cape provincial government. The appointments were approved by Cabinet.

The department welcomed the appointments. - Sapa

Never heard of any of them. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Well from personal experience it takes about +6 months for a ddg to get on board and start producing anything valuable.

Keith Shongwe of SITA wasted R55 Million worth of Budget. That money was never accounted for. So here we go again. DoC hiring more Criminals! :(
