DoC meets self-imposed deadlines

Sadly we already know that if a DOC minister actually does their job, they get replaced by somebody useless/corrupt very quickly. Thanks Yunus, it's been good.

He's on almost every occasion made reference to the fact that he's expecting to only be around until the next election. Sad, actually :(

Because, he's a minister. He's expected to do a difficult job. That's why a minister is supposed to be a person with vast experience in the field and the ability to deliver results. That's why they get paid stupidly huge salaries. The fact that the ANC normally appoints a bunch of nincompoops instead doesn't mean we should suddenly be impressed when someone actually does the job they're supposed to.

You are applying a horribly hypocritical standard here - people appreciated the work done in private sector regardless of the size of whether it is there job or not and regardless of the size of the remuneration. We aren't discussing whether the remuneration is to high or whether the portfolio is problematic we are discussing being impressed by an individual coming forward and getting things done. But for his affiliation to the ANC a lot more people would be expressing basic admiration for the man.

And Cabinet ministers are not in any civilized country expected to have vast experience in the field - they are expected to be good at job of a cabinet member and to let the civil servants with vast experience get on with it.

I know :( and the Portfolio Committee and the Official Opposition aren't helping either.
