Doctors & Prescription Renewals

R420, for 2 minutes, just to write a permission slip for my wife to be able to use contraception again for the next 6 months. WTF, really.

I have the biggest admiration for what some doctors can do, and I get that they paid a lot of money to study, but for the above, that's just taking the piss.

Not chronic - hospital plan only, as well. Can't afford any plan with savings.

That's technically illegal.

We know a pharmacy in another town where you can get it without prescription, but we only go there every 2 months or so. Nobody here wants to - we've tried everywhere.

Even B12 injections which I got without prescription last year, now require a prescription.

I do that with my repeats, but then he still charges me for a consultation.

Well, that was a year ago. Visit for a consultation, get 6 months prescription, after six months go back and ask for a repeat, and after that again a consultation, etc etc.

As far as I've experienced, all of them here do it. But if anyone here knows someone who's willing to do repeats, in Centurion, please let me know.

Yeah, I got it. Still better than R420 EVERY 6 months.
