Does 20mbps ADSL exist? or limited to VDSL only?

ADSL2+ can go up to 24Mbps if you are close enough and the equipment supports it.

Telkom has started offering 20Mbps ADSL in some areas

Telkom will only give you 20Mbps ADSL is you are less than 1.2KM away from your DSLAM(exchange). If you further away they will decline it. As for ordering the 20Mbps ADSL, you have to order 20Mbps VDSL and they will give you 20Mbps ADSL if you are close enough and there is no MSAN/ISAM close enough to you.

Wow, that must surely be the holy grail of ADSL. I thought the max speeds around the country were 10Mbps, regardless of the ADSL2 speed cap?

I pmed TelkomZA on mybb last week and paying 20mb VDSL price and getting 20mb down and 1 mb up.

It is a extra R115.

If the exchange is connected by metro Ethernet then i was told it is possible.

Order 20Mbps VDSL, they will give you 20Mbps ADSL.

Yes. 20Mbps is like R100 more than 10Mbps. Well worth it if you ask me.
