I recently stumbled upon brokstock.co.za
Has anybody used it and is it better than EasyEquities?

I use them. Only small change but I can top up for free with my CC. Was easy to register and app + webapp works good. Also no spam unlike with eToro where I had to block the email address. CFD’s so they’re not for everyone but so far it works for me and no monthly fees or any Thrive BS.

Lol cfds... So the most risky of all investments. May as well gamble

Seems to be a new company. Honestly, took me about 4 years to get into EE, had some substantial amounts invested and later withdrawn only to start again. But, EE works for me. Build some form of trust in them over the years, but heading over to a brand new, unknown company.... not for me at this point. I will check them out in 10 or so years again to see how they manage to survive.

Cool.

Reason for asking (I was not trolling) I know someone who spreads across multiple platforms.

I personally don't believe in that approach in this instance.

I stick to one, EE in my case.
Yes your fees will generally also be lower the more you invest so best to stick with one.

It’s terrible, I gave the platform a go and was disappointed as a lot of shares and ETF’s are not available. Now clarity is even worse if that’s even possible. They both gotta up their game if they aim to compete with EE.

This seems to be a problem on all SA platforms, EE included.

A month or so ago I tried to buy SPY shares in my USD account, and for some reason it was no longer available for purchasing. I ended up withdrawing my funds and sending it all to my IB account and invested it abroad.

It may be technical glitches, but local trading platforms are badly coded and seldom working perfectly. I have no problem playing around with R2k - R10k on local platforms, but the majority of my money goes to IB.
