Does anyone have problems with their N80

I have probably the very first N80 in the country (apart from Nokia demo models) and have not had any problems with it. I have flashed this phone before Nokia Software Updater was available and now use the NSU. There is a new formware version available and I will be downloading it soon.

My wife was an N73. Screen is bigger, so its easier to see. Sound is better. Superb photos compared to the slightly grainy images I get on my N80. N80 was a few more advanced features though.

Most problems I ever had were with my Siemens SX1s. Tried everything and have come back to Nokia - they are good phones, and they work.

I will upgrade later in the year - N95 for myself, and E90 for my wife - or vice versa, have not decided yet!!!

Same here, N95 for wife and E90 for myself because it's too bulky for the wife. I remember you were one of the first guys with the N80 ,then Piesang and then me. Still a cool phone with no worries. Piesang got a N95 so we won't hear much from him now about the N80.Cheers ;)

The N80 is no more. :D I brother bought it from me. There is nothing wrong with the N80 at all. It's just, got a new Nokia and can't use both at the same time.

He is very happy.

I tried the DIY firmware update but it just don't work for me,the problem start when I'm opening the Nokia Software Updater to link to the website,then it fails on me. Tried it many times so I am still sitting with original firmware on my N80.Thanx Silent_Bob

Strange that you are having problems. Try downloading it again from www.nokia.co.uk/softwareupdate. I know that the software changes every few weeks and you have to have the latest version installed to do an update.
