Does anyone know about the new Service Provider?

Hi just asking does anyone know anything about the new "Supposed" service provider of telephone lines or whatever... because **** telkom can't even control their own systems let alone an adsl system.
did you see carte blance my god they are stupid. "we can't stop these people cause they to clever.."

I heard about the story many times. But don't put all your hopes in this second service provider. Two service providers is virtually the same as one. Moreover, this supposed new sp wil almost certainly be an "empowerment" project, and not an international company.

We already know that the fact that we have 3 mobile phone providers in SA doesn't help to push prices down. They form an oligopoly, just an agreed monopoly between the big players.

As a friend of mine says, the only hope for a better sp is if an international company like AT&T comes into SA.

In the meantime, the only hope for consumers in SA telecom is to form group action such as this forum. This is the only way to deal with the dictators in those monopolies.
