I have some ON 100% Whey from 2006 when I last did gym - about to start again, and the price for the same ON 100% Whey is now R1,500 for 10lbs at Dischem  and the stuff I have is 90% full still... only cost me R350 :(

The tubs say expired in mid 2007, but I tasted it, and it tastes fine - anyone know if protein expires?

LOL! Almost 2 years expired? I'm pretty brave but not that brave.

The problem is that they add other stuff to the protein (glutamine, vitamins etc), the question is do the extra ingredients get toxic after a certain period...

Call them up and ask them...obviously word your question cleverly so they don't give you an answer just to make you chuck it out and buy a new one.

I'm interested in buying your product. I see your product lasts about 1 year - Now I've noticed some different branded products last up to 3 years, is it possible to consume your product past the expiry date, as I would rather use and possibly promote your product.

Like that maybe? :D

well, i don't think it's gone bad... If it smells fine, tastes fine then i'm sure it is fine :). however, in may have reacted with the air, so maybe try out a cup and see what happens... but if it was sorted in a cool, dry place then it should be fine :)

lol! I reckon Datura might have it hit on the nail! Or try
"My domestic thought my protein was baby formula and mixed it for my toddler. I checked the container and it expired 2 years ago! Will my baby be fine?!:D

If you follow scotty777's advice if you stop posting for en extended period of time...we'll know why:p AND your question will be answered!

My concern is the actual protein - don't want to end up drinking 4kgs of the stuff and find out its worth nothing :p

Just came back from an eval session with a personal trainer - I have lost so much muscle... I struggled to bench 70kg - and 3 years ago, that was way below my starting weight :( Even my leg presses were down to 250kg :(

I feel so depressed now for letting everything go to waste, worked almost 10yrs to get where I was...

that is not bad, as i reckon it will take a bit of time to get back into the shape of things....

...as over the dec holidays for which i didn't train for allmost 3 1/2weeks, i lost 20kgs in bench press strengh

- so how weigh now, and what is your aim ie size, strength, endurance etc?

115kg - plan on getting reasonably big - but not body builder big.

I was 105kg and almost where I wanted to be, but that was muscle (10-12% body fat) - now I'm 115kg of fat (will get the % tomorrow) :(

Its just a real let down to know what not keeping it up can undo - probably going to take 2-3 years to get back where I was.
