Does Cylinder Deactivation help Fuel Savings - Jeep SRT8

*sniff* *sniff* that was beautiful...

But on a serious note, A Trackhawk is definitely out of the question due to the price. He is looking at spending about 600K max on a SUV, whether it be used or new (I think I should have added it to the question in the first place).

Ideally, something that won't break the bank in more ways than one...
Buy something for R400k and don't worry about petrol.

I'm assuming you mean the Range Rover Sport Supercharged?

If yes, than yes, he did consider one, but the price for the V8 model is through the roof. The cheapest V8 model I found online was for R650K with decent miles on the clock, but that was about it. That left the V6, which is just as expensive, even with the same miles as the V8 car.

To be brutally honest, the only Range Rover that fits into this budget is the older Range Rover Sports, or the 'newer' Evoques
Yeah, but they're bargains for what you get: eye-watering performance, luxury, comfort, safety, amazing off-roading capabilities.

Nothing wrong with the older gen RSS, these Jag V8s are pretty bulletproof and reliable, as long as you take care of one or two issues early on.

What's his budget?

I was thinking the same thing, but the 5.7L V8 model is nowhere to be found.

That thing's more elusive than a M3 30 Jahre!

Haha, I meant the V6 GC, not the V8 Hemi. V6 GC is pretty reliable too.

It is, especially the diesel models. The V8 is nice to have, mainly to say that you have a V8 in your car. Hell, might as well consider a 50i, a 40d or a M50d then

That's it. Forget the SRT. Time to start the hunt for a M50d.

Wish me and my mate luck!
Please read my comment on the X5 thread, friend of mine have a M50d and had an engine replacement

Can you provide a link to this discussion? If you don't mind?

This thread is relating to the F15 M50d correct?
