Does IS have a news server that works?

I tried news.is.co.za and news.isdsl.net.

Is that the only 2 that they have that does not work?

Tried with Alt.Binz, Grabbit, and sabnzbd. It does not work during the night either - the occasional 30kb/s for a few seconds....

try something that is cached and see if it works?

cached content will be indicated on nzbsa.co.za or newshost.za.net

All the NZB's comes from nzbsa.co.za. How do i know if it is cached?

if the download the file is downloaded from a previous IS account it will show up on the side .

Yes it does work, all news servers go through up and down periods.

Basically you need to set the connection time out higher because the connection times out on uncached stuff. So just set the connection time out setting in alt.binz to something like 10minutes and you will see that it will connect but obviouslly download very slow.
