Does netflix work with tv/chromecast?

so this should be simple ,sign up for netflix and get a roku and boom streaming series easy with the remote on the couch ??

Yes, with Netflix in SA now, the Netflix app is easy to install. If you want to view other regions, then it gets a bit more complicated. The navigation is what makes it great. I have a Android Cloud device on my one TV and the navigation in Netflix isn't so great on that using the air mouse (but it works for us).

Will Roku or Chromecast also mirror a downloaded movie from tablet to TV?
Yes, I have a Roku stick, you can cast to it. I use Plex to stream videos from my PC to Roku. I also cast from Youtube from my phone to the stick.

Netflix on your phone/tablet and Chromecast FTW!!! Been using this setup for a while now and highly recommend it.

Super easy to install, once you power on the Chromecast for the first time it will take you through a setup wizard - much like that when booting an Android device fro the first time. Once that is setup up, no further settings should be required frmo teh Netflix app.

I run it on a 2mb line and get a rather decent picture. As mentioned, if you want to unlock other regions for larger library (which I highly recommend) you'd need to sub to a service like Unotelly.

One a side note. I investigated this a while back, a Chromecast is probably your cheapest option @ around R700...

You could always connect you laptop which also works well, the only problem is that it is a bit of a hassle to plug in and unplug the laptop from the HDMI. Also you would need a wireless mouse, otherwise you'd have to constantly get up to navigate to what you want to watch.
