..on a faster line?I have been upgraded to 4Mb line and used 150Mb for half an hour chat.Previously on a 384kb line I could chat for an hour on less than 100Mb.

Skype is a bandwidth hog to a degree: AFAIK it will adjust usage to increase call quality.

I upgrade from 384kb/s to 4mb/s and found that my skype call quality improved somewhat. It also depends on the connection of the person you are talking to. If they have the capacity to send and receive data at a faster rate and you can match that, then usage will spike.

I was calling Australia and they have a lot faster connection than I have so that explains the bandwidth usage.
Thanks for the replies.

Skype is P2P - additional bandwidth may be as a result of someone else's call passing through you.
