Does telkom mobile LTE work on LTE smartphones ?

That goes without saying! It is RIDICULOUS however that Telkom has opted on LTE which does not switch back to 3G when receiving a voice call like Vodacom and MTN. I asked them about this and they said I have to disable LTE on my phone when on their network!!! I'm sure its a software update on their towers...???

More government money waisted and we are already way behind....!!!

Yes, The LG G3 works with LTE, but you cannot receive calls while its on LTE. I tried it @ Melrose Arch and George where I'm from. I reported it to telkommobile to no avail...

That sucks. So you cant browse on lte and get a call..

This problem is not only a Telkom Mobile or LG problem but seems to be a worldwide issue relating to the LTE technology. My LG G3 with TM sim works on the TM LTE network but had problems with incoming voice calls. Someone with an LG G2 using Vodacon, suggested i disable LTE on my G3 which what they did as they were experiencing the same issue. Suffice to say that after disabling LTE i have no issues with incoming voice calls. There are a few LTE capable phone that work without any issues though.
