Hi all,

thought id run this by MYBB and see if this is the right way to deal with this:

brought my phone, galaxy pocket, heard about the always on offer free wi fi for a year,
went registered, had constant issues with it , almost never used it kept crashing my phone, eventually took it to Samsung where they replaced my motherboard and gave me a different mac address and iMIE and serial number.

anyway loaded all my things onto my phone, tried my always on app to reregister, says your account expired,
contact their support, ask me for my MAC address and IMIE number, give this to them

say to me cant help you as its not a new sale, but technically its a new phone with a different IMIE number and MAC address.

is this right?, surely if the mac address and IMIE number are different its a "new" phone and shouldn't pose any issues with it being a repaired phone.

If I'm not mistaken your gmail account is the one linked to your always on, so if you are using the same gmail account on your phone then you might just have your answer.

I doubt you can change it, it autofills the forms with your logged in gmail account

thats exactly what mine did, just spoke to the support manager at always on, wanted a screenshot to prove it is actually a diffrent phone with a diffrent serial number.

so they took my phone for a week, reset it and handed it back to me with everything erased,

and I thought Im going crazy here......

well thats samsung for you.... anything I can do they can do better:wtf:

Was it Samsung, or your service provider?
