Interesting stats about South African websites that support IPv6: https://www.vyncke.org/ipv6status/detailed.php?country=za
Less than 50% of the most visited sites in SA support IPv6, and a shocking number of the rest don't either. Most that do support IPv6 only do so for CDN content served by Cloudflare (ie non-native IPv6 support)
There is nothing stopping web hosts and sys admins / server admins from enabling IPv6 and setting a AAAA record for their servers. With mobile networks and ISPs rolling out IPv6 for clients, having access to IPv6 content would be beneficial- rather than picking it up with v4. The list of benefits for adding an IPv6 address and AAAA record is just full of pros and no cons.
What's your reason for not rolling out IPv6 on your server if you haven’t yet?
