As the topic says, im doing the stupid K53 test soon, does anyone have any disclaimers or tips for me? much love <3

A bottle of whiskey usually works.

Not for you though, for the instructor. They always appreciate a gift.....

Remember that the examiner/instructor/whatever isn't looking at the road, but at what you are doing (your reactions) while taking the test. Make sure he sees that you are following all the prescribed actions calmly, confidently and faultlessly. Good luck :)

Observations , obvious head movement for observations :D , gl though

In the yard test, do everything slowly and carefully and you'll be fine. As for the actual road test, don't freak out, drive at a good pace, keep a good following distance and don't forget to do your observations.

one of their favourites when you leave the parking lot is to tell you to go out, and then point the wrong way down a one way- most drivers are so nervous that they just do it and fail on the spot.

when you do your 3 point turn, make sure that you end up on the left hand side of the road and not in the middle- sounds obvious, but I failed on that because no one told me otherwise.

when you stop at a stop street make sure you can see the line in front of you.

cant think of anything else.

I have my test on the 28th of February, but i'm not worried about it because i'm at the best driving school ever. I learned the parking stuff in two lessons. And remember to put your seatbelt on because my friend failed just because of that!!!

If the guy fails you while on the road, tell him to get out and drive off. I actually heard about a guy who did this :D

Don't focus so much on getting everything right in the car (i.e the 5 point check etc etc) that you forget you're busy doing alley docking and do parallel parking instead.

Sounds like a stupid thing to do but I failed mine in November like this, was just too busy thinking of everything around me that I lost track of what I was actually doing.

Also, they don't talk properly (at lest the one I had didn't) they mumble instructions to you and go apeshyt if you do the wrong thing... The instructions they give are extremely vague as well.

Yeah you only lose points with the checking. but cant you retry parking once for each parking method?

Not of you touch a pole... No.

If you are busy doing it and you decide you want to try again then they will let you reset it once and if you don't manage to get the car in on the first go.

But if you touch a line or a pole then you fail instantly. Any forward movement during the parking will also result in a fail.
