I need to transfer a co.za domain for a client. The domain has been registered on 12/01/2012 . I am unsure if the company the registered it paid for the domain or not. They are a small company and seem dodgy. Now i dont know if I should charge the client for registering it because if it hasnt been paid, i will have to pay for it. Is there anyway i can check if the domain has been paid for??

You won't be able to transfer it unless it's paid. You can pay for it using a CC at http://co.za/banking.shtml
One of the current "responsible people" will have to OK the ticket before the transfer can take place. The dodgy company is probably one of them. This must happen within 24 hours of request.
Any one of them also has a veto vote, resulting in immediate decline of transfer request.

Personally I won't tough dodgy companies, been their done that, got burned. But hey it is only a R50,00 lesson to find out how dodgy they are.
