There are so many people needing help out there. I am not only talking about people who do not have homes or jobs. Yes, they need help, and there are organisations and churches that can step in and provide a little temporary relief. These are not who I have made the thread about. I am talking about hard-working people who have been affected specifically by illness.

In the face of illness, individuals grapple not only with the physical toll of their conditions but also with the emotional and financial burdens that often accompany them. Many find themselves navigating a challenging journey marked by medical treatments, unforeseen expenses, and the profound impact on their daily lives. The struggle is not confined to the realm of health alone; it extends into the fabric of relationships, careers, and overall well-being. These individuals need our collective support, empathy, and assistance to alleviate the weight of their burdens. By extending a helping hand, whether through acts of kindness, financial aid, or simply offering a listening ear, we can contribute to a compassionate and supportive community that empowers those affected by illness to face their challenges with resilience and hope.

A really good friend of mine told me about a colleague of his who is undergoing cancer treatments. It breaks my heart that the medical aid is now refusing to cover the expenses and charging a hefty 20% on each treatment. There are many threads about medical aids and how they are in it to make a profit - so again - this thread is not about that.

This thread is to see if there is anyone here who is able to help them. It is not an ongoing need - but a serious and immediate one. Please, take the time to read what she says - and if you can - give a little to help with the daunting bills that await them.

If you cannot assist, consider sharing their page so they can afford the treatments needed.
