Don't fall for this 'Formes' fuel saver nonsense

I installed this device on my bicycle but I still seem to only get the same mileage as before, don't buy this product!!

can you please explain that "Formes" ?

I believed in this product but when I installed it it caused oil to be squirted in my left eye, which I am still pretty angry about

Stay away People !!

Did you try this? Do you own a vehicle? Remember it does not work on a bicycle. I am sick and tired of people like you, making claims against, products which you obviously cannot afford. I will recall if I have sold you one! My legal advisor WILL get your e-mail address and details from this web-site. You might find yourself in a spot of bother my friend!!

Why?

If its a kak product the OP is free to say so f he wants!

Its sure sounds like a kak product!

I don't know. The concept isn't entirely stupid. It's nothing like those balance bracelets. Formes even says that there ARE new vehicles using the technology, so he's marketing this product for older vehicles. Turbulence increases fuel dispersion which will enhance fuel efficiency. Here's a little extract from the Fuel Injection article on Wiki:

By virtue of better dispersion and homogeneity of the directly injected fuel, the cylinder and piston are cooled, thereby permitting higher compression ratios and more aggressive ignition timing, with resultant enhanced power output. More precise management of the fuel injection event also enables better control of emissions. Finally, the homogeneity of the fuel mixture allows for leaner air/fuel ratios, which together with more precise ignition timing can improve fuel efficiency. Along with this, the engine can operate with stratified (lean burn) mixtures, and hence avoid throttling losses at low and part engine load. Some direct-injection systems incorporate piezoelectronic fuel injectors. With their extremely fast response time, multiple injection events can occur during each cycle of each cylinder of the engine.

Note that the turbulence is only necessary at the point of fuel injection.

The main issue that needs to be addressed is whether the turbulence persists or subsides before reaching the fuel injector. Turbulence should persist past the butterfly valve as long as the gas has sufficient energy. Turbulent flow requires energy since there's increased friction, so as long as there's sufficient energy the turbulence will persist, otherwise the flow will degenerate to the more stable laminar flow.

If the air is warm or hot then the gas will have sufficient internal energy to maintain turbulence.

does it give examples of these "new cars?"

Nope, but that's not the issue. The issue is that posters are saying that the product is stupid and won't work. I'm saying that it isn't entirely stupid and actually could work.

Not the issue? it was stated earlier in the thread that why is this not fitted on new cars if it is so revolutionary? I have heard quit a few things that could work, but don't in practice.

Well you do have a point.

Anyway, I just read two articles which state that engines are already fine tuned and burn fuel 98% efficiently, so any gadget that says there are 10% fuel savings to be had by improving the fuel dispersion or burning efficiency, is fake, since the most fuel efficiency that can be gained is 2%. Also, driving habits and environment conditions vary and cause fuel consumption to fluctuate 5%-20%. What's most significant about these gadgets however, is that when people buy them, they are "expecting" improved fuel economy and when environmental conditions causing the fuel economy to go up 5%, drivers believe it to be caused by the fuel saving gadgets.

In my opinion, the best way for you to save fuel is to change your driving habits significantly and keep your car in top shape. Any strap on gadgets could actually make your fuel economy worse since it negates the fine tuning of the engine.

Here are the two articles:

Sorry for pulling up an old thread but just came across it.

Their website says that some manufacturers already use a product like this, but I've yet to see one in all the intakes I've taken off of cars. If this concept could work EVERY manufacturer would use it, especially in the light of cars needing to be 'green' and have lower CO emissions. This reminds me of the TurboFlo which is banned for sale in the USA (even though they still sell them here in SA) because testing proved that all it actually did was reduce airflow because it basically just got in the way and as a result fuel consumption INCREASED.

In case anyone is interested, I've been using NF Petrol Saver in my 1.8 VW Polo and my average consumption (after using it for nearly a year now) has dropped from 8.2 litres/100km to 7.1 which for me makes it worthwhile: http://www.nitrous.co.za/products.fuelsaver.php

You are kidding surely?? A home made website with some Plastic Warehouse bottles and containers with some "liquid" in there that saves you fuel?? Hhahahahah...OMG.

The only thing that is heavy on petrol is your right foot.

They should hand you a jar of vaseline when they sell you these "fuel savers".

The stuff works for me. I'm getting about an extra 12% mileage per tank. I do quite a lot of driving, so this adds up pretty quickly. Works out to about a free tank of fuel a month for me.
Use it, don't use it. I'm happy.

Buy a couple of months' supply. Instruct one of your mates to replace the contents of one bottle with fuel and food colourant. See if you can pick out the dummy bottle.

I'd put money on your saving being from nothing more than a psychosomatic effect on your right foot. ;)

I do know there is an additive for diesel lurking out there somewhere that improves efficiency. But I recall that needed to be fed directly into the fuel intake in a very exact quantity - it couldnt be mixed beforehand. From what I recall its the usual "huge upfront cost for minor fuel savings"

You have inadvertently stumbled onto Axe's secret recipe for this "product". Only slightly more technical than the website he "designed". You must be officially retarded if you buy and use this crap. What does NF stand for..."Newly Fukked" ?

Just read this review:

Purchased this product earlier this week and mixed it straight away with about 42l in my tank, took about 5km before i could smell the product getting burnt.

Car did not feel any different until it worked its way in properly and all I can say is: WOW.......... Its fantastic:

• Car starts much better then before
• Throttle response is improved as well as any lag issues
• Car just revs cleanly from idle to redline over and over
• The backfires are very addictive :)
• I'm very impressed

Pls Note:

• Dont inhale this product from the tin (Seriously strong)
• Use a proper funnel or pre mix this octane booster and still put cloth around tank opening.
• Wash your hands, the smell of this product will put armies to sleep loool

@ NF

You guys have done a sterling job to create a fantastic product that I see myself using for every tank from now on.

Regards,
Danny
