Saw it a while ago. The trip would have been smoother if they had done the African Handshake ™ where one strategically part with monies. It is required to smooth things over while traveling in some African countries.
The secret is to travel with a gorgeous girl with long blond hair - the Egyptians go crazy.
My niece almost caused a stampede at one of the temples.
The video's right though and the sequence where Best Ever Food Show host rides on a camel doesn't convey the stink, filth and flies.

you live in south africa? broken and corruptYep. Have heard some horror stories. Same with Turkey. A lot of people have a great time, but one thing goes wrong and the cops get involved and then its tickets. I won't visit a country where cops are that corrupt and broken. Too many nightmare stories if you do some digging.
True story.How to travel Egypt:
1) Johannesburg to Cairo by international flight
2) Cairo to Hurghada by connecting flight
3) Hurghada airport to live Aboard by bus.
4) Dive the Red Sea for a week
5) Live abourd to Hurghada airport by bus.
6) Hurghada to Cairo by connecting flight
7) Cairo to Johannesburg by international flight
And yet there is still mostly justice if you have some money for a lawyer. In Turkey human rights abuse in prison is still rife. The guards beat prisoners regularly. Its well documented. I know SA is not perfect but we are still a step up from those guys. Not unique to those countries. If you try drive to Zim or Mozambique using SA plates prepare to be pulled over and "fined" a lot by the corrupt cops. Here its still mostly the exception. There its the rule. I don't have time for countries like that. Especially not for a family holiday where your kids/wife may be threatened to extort you.you live in south africa? broken and corrupt
apologies if you dont

True - she had to climb onto a high plinthDid she get felt up in the stampede? That's what usually happens and the perps disappear in the crowd after the feel.

Getting constantly harrassed by arab men. They are very touchy feely and dont take no for an answer. Some even grab your arm and wont let go.

My cellphone went missing on a red sea dive trip.Luxury cruises also work. Those ships are 5 star and jobs working on them is highly sought after.
When we went a few years ago you could leave money and jewelery lying around and nothing was stolen, the story goes that it's because if anything is reported stolen the entire staff is fired. All that might've changed now.
[×] doubtBeen to Egypt a couple of times. Wasn’t too bad. Managed to scam a few tourists and grope leggy blondes.
