Just another indicator in what a sorry state this country is in. Install ADSL within 30 days! I have asked for the transfer of my line 2 months ago. Telkom (after repeated promises) has not even had the decency to phone me back and tell me what is going on.

Indeed. People optimistic about this whole world cup affair is laughable to me. I wanted to start a betting game, then people can bet on what things will be finished by 2010:
Stadiums? How many?
Broad access to digital television
Gautrain
Lower crime rate
Some traffic innovations in the large cities anyone? Nah
Reliable international access (provision most maybe?) HAHAHAHAHAHA

Yep, my brother just ordered his line this morning and was told on the phone that it would take 6 to 8 weeks, they dont even pretend that they will do it within 30 days anymore.
