Don't know what I want

I agree with Nocturnity ...

I bought myself a PROPER longboard for the 1st time in my 15 years of surfing...It set me back a good few grand as I went for the best. I also bought a paintball gun earlier which I use from time to time, but through trying it - I can see myself enjoying longboarding a lot more regularly. Since you've spent money on it, you *MAKE* time to do it often - that way learning whether or not you like it as a proper hobby.

Before I used to surf occasionally with my hand-me-down surfboards, but now I'm in the water at every possible opportunity...and loving it!

I've also quit my online gaming addiction (WoW) and focussed on spending more time outside or on things I've left uncared for.

I suggest you try find an affordable hobby that will be a pleasant pass-time at 1st. The in between do the skydiving and paintball games and once-off thrills. You'll soon find that the difference is that some are entertaining while others are just relaxing.

Thanks Nocturnity and Voicy that sounds like it could be the problem I'm having maybe I should invest in something big then I have to stick with it. Will give it a try and let you know.

Some of the things on that list are short term and/or when requiring equipment you can always just hire or something for the short period(you know you will be interested in it). I don't think there is anything wrong with trying new things.

Hmmm i think its becauz us IT people have to much time on our hands.... Installing XP... sit around , look at the sky, press next and start install, sit around play with toes!!! But i still love my job :D

What the heck  My IT world consists of Installing many XP's at the same time on a time limit, chasing people around for signatures, filing till my arms hurt, answering the phone all day, auditing till my vision is blurry and keeping up with the calls before complaints arise and trying to keep out of trouble which fails miserably. Then I take work home with me :/

But this whole thing about wanting to do so many things and thinking up new ideas applies to me too :D must be an IT thing
