Don't know where my software download is going?

Perhaps you should take a closer look at your need to post in an offensive manner.

@Poster: There is also a pretty good chance that your anti-virus program has removed the file(s). Are you using an Anti-Virus program?

Yes, some tech guy installed Avira a few months back.

Tried the above, no luck. If the anti virus is the cause, what do I do?

Okay, this is what happens. The minute I start a download of an .exe file, the Downloads page pops up, but the download stops immediately. I have to click, the start button, to get it going again.

I've saved the location to Downloads, and while getting the file, I can see the icon on Desktop.
But the minute it completes, the icon on Desktop vanishes.

Anyone can help? Pleeeease.....

Thanks, was beginning to think I'm talking to myself

- Using Windows XP
- Mozilla Firefox ( don't know what version)
- Avira
- Not much else, mostly just have photos stored on computer.

Hoping you can help me out! Do you think maybe Mozilla is stopping the downloads before they can even start?

Okay thanks guys, I googled for more help, and it seems my internet settings on XP were blocking the downloads. Sorted it out somehow.
