Don't Skype me - How Microsoft turned consumers against its software

I was just commenting on this last night. Speaking to a friend on the Blizzard app's voice chat about our recent difficulties in using skype. We were just laughing at how crystal clear and low latency the conversation was in an app not primarily designed for that function while in skype, our conversations always seem to be routed via the Andromeda galaxy with terrible delay and bad quality. Unfortunately often have the same experience using Whatsapp voice.
 
I used to use Skype before Microsoft bought it and have all sorts of problems logging in etc. since I go an iPad I use FaceTime as first choice. Luckily most of the people I want to speak to have an iPad or iPhone.
 
I use it daily without any issues. My dev team is located in different locations across eastern Europe and we have regular Skype group calls without any issues or delays.
 
I do not want to merge my skype name with my outlook email.only thing i use that email for is windows. Skype name many family have. And as I know what people do i will not merge skype name with that mail account.

I simply sent email from my normal account or SMSing people that I will not be using skype anymore.
