For some reason I don't go to bed when I'm tired. This does sound stupid I know, but even when I tell myself tomorrow I will have an early night it does not happen. It's not a case of insomnia because when I do go to bed I fall asleep quite easily.
I've never gone to bed before 12h00 (when I say never it's like the last 10-12 yrs). Lately it's constantly 01h00-03h00 ......and I'm SO DAMN TIRED!!!

Yet in spite of me being tired I know I will not go to bed early tonight again. It's so frustrating.

Do any of you know what I'm talking about?

The sweetest dreams will never do. Cause you'll still miss her. And you don't wanna miss a thing.

I know exactly what you're talking about, I'm the same.
It's almost every night for me these days. I plan to go to bed at 22:00 but when I find myself it's already past 00:00.

Luckily I'm not in the 01:00-03:00 range...yet.
For me it's a result of having things to do that I don't find time for. Work chows so much time that I don't get around to the things I actually want to do.

I get home after work and it feels like I've barely eaten supper then I have to go to bed, so that the cruel cycle can start all over again.

I used to be exactly like this whilst heavy gaming each night. This gradually faded after we had kids...

i wish i was there, what are your hobbies now?,my wife hates my gaming.

I know.

It's because quantity time has become more important than quality time.

Boy i wish i could sleep so easily, i lie in bed for 2 or 3 hours before i sleep.

So i go to bed at 11 or so and end up sleeping at maybe 1ish. It sucks getting off sleeping tablets because the insomnia is horrible and makes me wish i had my precious :( so i could sleep for 10 hours.

The only time i have this is if i have been out partying and such and i dont want the night to end.
Otherwise, by the time i get home and get everything done all I want to do is go to bed

I was browsing stumbleupon and playing guitar at 12:30 last night.

I probably have plenty hours of "sleep debt" and can't stand up until I find myself eventually standing up out of stress or no reason.

But bed? DO NOT WANT! Days are too short.

Seems a bit counter-productive because if you wake early you will have a longer day. But it just doesn't feel that way.

My problem is that I'm a lazy ****.

By the time I have to go to bed I have yet to put the leftovers from supper in tupperware, I've yet to brush my teeth, and for this I have to go fill my cup with water from the kitchen plumbing or else I'll wake my old land lady (who goes to bed at 22:00). So much hassle is always needed before i go to bed that I always postpone it till it's already far too late.

Point is, I'm a lazy ****. There's no excuse. But added to this I also have sleep apnea which is the highly complex situation for an entirely different thread altogether.

I could bore you for mthe next 20 weeks with the problems that are manifested in my perception.

For me DSTV used to be bastard that kept me up.I basically flip through channels 'looking for something to watch' till 1am.
It never happened as you'll never find the perfect viewing.
Now I just watch what I want from my HDD's and then go sleep usually not later than 10:30pm.

I find showering early, like directly after supper gives me 2-3 hours to womble about before I crash.

I also have bad sleeping habits, normal bed time is between 12:00 - 2:00 it's worse during holidays . There is always something to do studying, gaming, editing a photo, reading a random article etc. I've tried changing it like sleeping at 9:00pm but I'd be up before 3:00am. I hate waking up in the morning though.
