Don't you just hate it in SC2 when...

Dude, I wasn't judging you, merely joshing you... it's a slow Friday.

Take it easy... I'm sure your girlfriend is plenty hot.

Dunno if you copied that Attenborough section from somewhere, if not you really put in a lot of effort to "josh" someone.
The mere fact that you used the word "Josh" just oozes of Jock...

The thought of a failure-of-a-geek-wannabe-jock coasting the forums ripping off gamers in the gamer section kinda gives off a vibe of desperation.

Don't worry, Im just "joshing "you dude.

Cloudster, you're getting annoyed with Toss cannon rushing you? There are a few things which you can do, Firstly pay as much attention as you can to your minimap and you should see the probe floating into your base... If you dont then when you've scouted his base and dont see anything but his Nexus then you should know to immediately check your platform and if you see there is buildings you've gotta IMMEDIATELY take your scv's and destroy anything thats there and lastly if worst comes to worst, you're terran? Just lift off your command centre and barracks, move to a new location (remember you can load scv's into your CC if he's blocked off your ramp) move your barracks close to his base and just start pumping out marines/reapers and take out his probes and base, It will be impossible for him to have a gateway and cyber up for stalkers by then. Its really not a difficult strat to beat and if you get away from it then its GG.

Yo St3bas, thanks for your thoughts on this ... I manage to win most of the time when people try this with me. Just when you face someone who really has perfected this gay art it's really difficult to counter. If I have to lift off my CC and barracks he would have built such a force by the time my economy is backup that I'm totally pwned anyway.

I counter it often but ye, when you have a guy who comes in and warps in two pylons and a forge (pylons before rracks is up) and then cannon after cannon just when I have like 1 or 2 marines out and the second cannon placement already starts killing my SCVs and CC then your faced with a really difficult situation.

I'm not whining, this w/e nearly all the toss players I went up against went double gate + proxy rush on me... I beat them all and even though its just as gay a strat as cannon rushing; it's counter-able even if the player executing it has perfected his gay manner :) .

I just find it very interesting that the guys who run this strat (cannon) are very often platinum league players with decent win/loss ratios.

I hate it when... I play against total noobs. I'm not the best player around (far from it) but sheeez, played 2v2. My teammate only has like 3 marines after ten minutes and we're playing against 2 zerg. How was he planning to hold off a ergling rush with that? Luckily the other team also sucked so a grand total of 6 or 7 void rays from me destroyed both their bases. The next game was epic, but totally lost it after 25min, must work on my end game.

As for that cannon rush strat, as pointed out you can lift off and go somewhere else. Good luck trying that in W3 when an orc player tower rushes you :p

The only time I've run this strat is when I lost to Terran 3 times in a row to a MMM build and then I got pissed off and the next game I played I just cannon rushed him just to ease my pain haha. After that I figured out what I was doing wrong and now I generally beat the Terran MMM. I still think Marauders are overpowered against gateway units though, Zealots are listed as "Strong" against Marauders?? How is that even possible when Marauders(with concussion nades for 50/50) own them so badly? Anyway thats just my opinion.

I dont really enjoy playing against Terran as a Protoss player because the game is almost guaranteed resulting in me having to face off against that dam MMM ball, which is very difficult to beat to be honest.. I dunno its generally just not the most enjoyable game, maybe thats why people prefer just to cheese it out and try end it soon? (Especially at the top leagues when the Terran knows exactly how he needs to play)

My friend and I are playing the noob league 2v2. We are thinking of skipping it actually, since the guys we are playing against now are just a bit too cr@p. They tech up nicely, but dont expand or build big enough militaries. Or attack. We arent pros by any means - both of us are decent at macro but dont bother with micro much. But against these noobs its somewhat of a whitewash.

We played yesterday, the one zerg player didnt expand and tried to fend off my army of stalkers and colossi with a grand total of 6 zerglings. His friend expanded too aggressively and was left without a decent enough military to counter us (a few battlecruisers, one or two thors, some other stuff).

I really like the protoss in SC2, especially the warp gate. Colossi are pretty awesome too. They seem like they have a lot of units good for direct assault. The Terrans are probably the most improved from SC1, getting a lot of useful units in SC2. They were good in SC1, but always felt like they required a lot of micro to use effectively. Micro is still there for them, but it just seems like they have more options. Zerg looks like they were hit with the nerf bat - cracklings got nerfed, zerg defensive structures arent all that great, hydras dont get a speed upgrade and are now tier 2 units. I suppose they needed it, they were a pretty strong team.

But we have cute rolling banelings :D. I hate it though when you accidentally press X after you select your group of banelings... in the middle of nowhere :P.

lol Hylo, that game was epic man :D and I finally got a win over you, so great fun and entertainment for all involved :D :D :D

Hehe yeah, that was an epic game, you kicked my ass thoroughly there. This pressing X (accidentally since it is close to "s" for select) to pop my blings happened to me a few times now, was funny as hell in the beginning, now it is annoying . It aint pretty...:p

hehehe, c'mon man our score is probs still 4-1 in your favour -.-

I kindof hate it when it feels like I'm capable of playing 2 seperate games...
Exactly the same strat, but one time I'll have cash to do as I please and the other I'll be wishing I could electrocute my SCV's to get them bringing my cash in quicker.

How's the latency when playing against people locally? Never played with/against local players only.

the latency is so good on battle.net that I dont notice the difference between my ladder games and my games vs local players.
