Sell your house/car and move to the Karoo and become a sheep farmer. Then by the time SKA is done you will hopefully be allowed to piggyback on their network and never lag again :)

Lol

Or I'll just emigrate to a place where the Telecoms industry isn't so terribly incompetent.

But this is kak tho, I have had spikes but my latency usually stays around 300.

Sho...That must be the most frustrating game ever.I know what the raging would be like.
Sorry to here though.Add me:-

Thanks for the concern, a Telkom representative actually phoned me today to ask if my issues have been resolved. For now, everything is working well, thank you.

What was the problem?

Hi ginggs.

The tower had a few error alarms which were cleared. sTrideR|JP has to let us know if he comes accross any problems as they are currently monitoring the tower.

I'll be keeping a close eye for the next few weeks, but so far everything is running smoothly!

Tested the 8ta service via my phone (same way I was using Vodacom) service was intermittent, disconnected regularly, failed to download an 8Mb file 6 times, using command line to test latency to google approximately every 25th ping timed out with latencies ranging from 200ms to 3000ms when doing no browsing, to attempting to browse simple pages. Pings to battle.net (twilightgaming.co.za) lowest pings were 170 stable for about a minute at most using BNetGateway tool, the most reaching 18000ms unless otherwise timed out. Hardly efficient enough for playing a single game.

Code:
ping www.google.com /t

Hardly worth it, it seems.

Will test it at home again, just for good measure, not holding my thumbs though.
Will also post screen shots of system log and command line ping tests.

Couldn't run speedtest.net nor pingtest.net due to failing to download adobe flash player (mentioned above)

UPDATE:

Tried to test it again, still using my HTC Sensation.
First off, I got a better sync... Got HSDPA, <-80 rssi instead of 3G like earlier.
There weren't nearly as many disconnects.

Managed to do a few speed tests

As reference below I'll post my Vodacom speeds shortly before using the 8ta sim.

Hi sKnVo!

Please let us know about your further test results and if they are not satisfactory, please provide us feedback via our sticky so we can investigate.

Back to ground zero again.

Spikes from 400-3000ms constantly, completely unplayable. Great.

Hi sTrideR|JP!

We are waiting for the feedback from the technician who went out to your area today. Will provide feedback as we receive it.

He phoned me late last afternoon saying he couldn't make the appointment.

Also, I really don't see how sending yet another technician here is going to change everything. You have readings from the last 2 guys, and the hundreds of speedtests/pingtests I have conducted, why do you need to send someone again?
