Howdy folks I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've just installed the dota 2 reborn update. I'm running it without a graphics card (as game play was smooth without one when dota 2 was still on the source 1 engine) however I now have to play it on the most basic settings for it to run smoothly . I'd like to know what would be the most affordable gfx card I can get so that I can at least run it on medium graphics.

My current set up:
Intel core i5 3330
Patriot 4gb 1600mh ram
120gb 600 series seagate ssd
Biostar H61mu3b motherboard
Thermaltake lite power 450w psu.

With regards to budget R1800 is the limit, there's no way I can go over that amount. I was thinking something like this

Thanks in advance

For your budget that is as good as it's gonna get unless you wan't to look at the used market. Pity the 750ti cards are so expensive here. A quick look at youtube shows a r7 250 runnning d2r at max settings at around 40-50fps so a r7 260 'should' perform even better, 60fps+ hopefully.

Dunno anything about dota2 reborn or what the required system specs are.

For used gear look at http://carbonite.co.za/f40/

The 460 I recommended should run it at 60+ fps on max @1080p

Surely you had an onboard graphics card as I don't see how that would work?

He means he doesn't have a dedicated card, he was using on board graphics but since source engine 2 his fps has dropped.

Just sounded odd as it is still a gpu :D

Probably one of those Intel HD ones don't see why it wouldn't still run it unless they changed something drastically.

It seems I missed the whole discussion I think I'll take the 260x dota 2 is the only game I play so not concerned about future game requirements

Then the card (Gigabyte R7 260X OC 2GB) that you had linked to is more than enough to cater your requirements. In the case that you want to break your budget there is always the 950.

That's a good deal. I actually can't find anything better. Unless you want to buy from Rebeltech:
