Dota 2

Still haven't played a single game of dota since (checks dotabuff) Ok it's been 26 days now.

When is the current compendium over? Don't feel like playing with mashed potatoes trying to finish "quests" or whatever it' called now, with heroes they don't know how to play.

But there was separate quest line added with the dates of 5-15Feb, hence my question.

I for one found it enjoyable. Seem to be few extra Dragon Knights, Ember Spirits and Lina's running around ,but can deal with that.
There is a daily hero reward too, but I think the reward is low enough to not try and let every potato play IO when it comes about. I personally haven't had a hero I was willing to risk losing to play for the 100 points.

OK, path of the Blossom is now gone :( ....so close.

Hoping to finish Executioner this weekend, if I quickly learn to play DK. Can't be that tough.....

haha I'm not complete potato.....think I'm dota level 39 last time I checked. But with matchmaking broken as it is I often get a the odd one. Plus every now and then it seems to jump 4-5 levels, never figured that out either.

DK doesn't seem that complicated to play tbh, 2.5 sec level 1 stun, general harassment spell and a tanky passive. And then Elder Form when you need it.

Plus, everybody has to start somewhere. That's the problem with the community, everybody thinks he's god's gift to Dota and quickly forget they where there once.

Levels have nothing to do with Match making, nothing at all.

Levels are based on trophies, I am level 96, purely because I buy all compendiums and do all challenges. That does not affect my Hidden MMR.
 
I think I'm in the middle somewhere, because I (we) often get absolutely stomped in 25min or play against real potatoes for the reverse.

I think if you at the top end of the scale like you then yes, you can safely assume you will play with other pro's.

For, my kids, my friends, it's a big gamble anyway. Pretty much all of us have around 200-250 wins and have roughly the same skill, and a 50% win rate.
No idea what my hidden MMR is, but I'd like to think our player pool is so small the spread will be massive for matchmaking.

You also play at "Very High Skill" on Dotabuff, and are pretty much always online. I'm all but certain that when I get home today, I will see Deadmanza online. Your battlepass level though! 0.o
 
I don't have to assume anything since I went through the effort of finishing my 10 Ranked matches loooooong ago, was probably not the best idea at the time since I'd like to think I've improved a bit after that, but nonetheless, I'm now stuck in 2k mash potato hell until I can battle my way out if it.

Also I play every night after gym, well most nights anyway.
 
Anybody got ping issues with mtn/afrihost mobile.

ping to EU teamspeak server 250. ping to local ts server 60. Ping to some local dota servers 250-350.. just this weekend dunno wtf
 
Finally ended the 30 day dry spell and played one game of dokta this weekend.

It's really amazing how ones mind changes in such a short time, I couldn't last hit to save my life, and for some reason I was forced into played mid, which is kinda bad considering I suffered from extreme brain lag, plus I usually play support.

Being absent from the game for so long really impairs ones ability to FOCUS on stuff that would otherwise happen naturally, like last hitting, gawd it was terrible. My decision making was also lagging, so I ended up following my very competent team. If it wasn't for them we'd probably have lost the game :D

Will have to spend some time playing bots before re-entering the dotka jungle.
