winter wyvern' One of my new my fav heroes for the right click teams!.

I have won so many games just because of that pick.
 
Had my first game of doto in close to 6 months and actually enjoyed it. Loads of changes and I'll definitely get into it again. Also having a decent ping for a change is lovely :D

What is the problem? He might be specialising with one hero at a time, and perfecting builds etc. Seems like recently swopped over to Huskar after playing Lina A LOT.. If he tries to play competitve, the enemy team will just ban Husk and Lina and bang they have 4 players on their team.. :)
 
I played against a jugger. 800 games jugger.


Lets just say his destop exe is not dota2 but juggernaut.exe
 
well I have a mate who only plays Drow...

He just finds himself unable to play anything else. Vicious circle I suppose.

Anyway, sorry to bring back the Lifestealer thread....but I had to share this...

played a game last night, myself LS, and mate picked a Riki. Other team never heard of wards, so was an easy game, but the fun part was me farming up an Radiance, infesting Riki, and he'd literally go stand next to the enemy...
Poor sods had no idea, one guy even raged and accused us of hax.

I did feel a little filthy.

Don't get it, guy rages about player picking Riki ( a pretty useless hero once countered), and proceed to not buy a single ward, and gets rekt.

Thing is, they had 2 x level 40 odd players, and granted, two really low <20 , can't remember the 5th.

So wasn't like 1st 5 games territory.
I don't think they bought a single ward.

I think I have this person on my friends list. I've seen the profile. It caused me physical pain. I think my versatility is in the high 80s to mid 90s.

I'm betting they didn't have supports or if they did the guys didn't know how to play it (finding farm as a support is something that takes a fair amount of skill to get right). Thing is though that if you're in a lane with your support struggling economically then even if you are carrying buy those f'ing wards. The easy kill on that riki pays for them pretty much straight away.

Those guys sound like utter potatoes. In potato bracket everybody is a core regardless of which hero they're playing.
 
When I started playing Dota, there was a Riki in every pub match, especially during the lower levels when people picked 5 carries and the courier was maybe bought by the mid played after 10min to bring his bottle.

And it was simple. Ward or die. Learn and Live

At higher levels Riki got picked less and less, to the point where the recent nerf (as most see it) I haven't seen him at all.

I see Riki sometimes. People random him.

If I solo search with my potato MMR I get lots of Rikis.

Hey, AA hard carry wins games ok! Jokes aside that is the sad truth, everybody wants to carry and most don't want to support. Although, at the same time a good support should know how to carry, so in lower level brackets they should be playing a fair bit of carry. Can't support all too well if you don't know the needs of the carry.

A decent player should be able to play any role.
 
Anybody know of a noobish team I might join? I was trying to play the other night and got "#rekt" . My own team threatened to do questionable things to my mom. I'm just a bit new, wasn't trying to ruin anyone's game :/

Practice with insane bots it helps. They don't rage.

I have noticed that playing vs insane bots will make me quit dota all together. The OPPOSING team's bots are insane - yours is potato. Things like a support pushing a lane solo at 30 minutes in, no items then they get rekt by the entire bot squad. Then lo-and-behold the other 3 members of team potato-bot go in one by one to go "fight" the enemy...

Quite *** actually.

Deadman - missed your invite yesterday. Was looking forward to jamming with you - but for some reason Dota doesn't give you audible notifications when you are in game (vs bots or spectating). Only saw your invite when I was done. Sorry mate.
