Dota 2

Watched a bunch of round robin games last night (annoying that they happen simultaneously like that) and I'm amazed at how badly Alliance got thrashed. 0-3, wow.

Seems these days all my connection is good for is watching games lol. Even that seems to be a challenge for it... :(

Yea think I'm going to have to do something about my ISP at some point as well. Can't play at 500ms+ pings.

nah, played dgl dota before, even in the lower divisions the guys arent bad, if you arent willing to practise or have guys that have at least a mid level of play you will get porked every game.

Fair enough, we missed this DGL so we will have lots of time to "practice" :p

I will setup a skrim with a low end team and see how we fair though.

I think I joined you after your games with ghost later that evening and we accidentally ended up in an All Random game where every single team member received characters we have never played before and we were all so overwhelmed and disorganised we couldn't even figure out who was swapping with who. That was a crazy game. :D

Think I was Clockwerk... ended up with something like 1 kill to 11 deaths :p
 
Oh the Russians.The Effing Russians..And its school break.OMS!!!!Think i should refrain from logging for another 2 weeks.One problem solved.

Actually now that you mention I've seen a few more Russians than usual. Still not too many. Had a game a few days ago (I think it was ghoti, one other forumite and myself) with one Russian team member and another Spanish or at least Spanish speaking.

Whenever the opposition's teammate's disconnected and they had to pause (only happened maybe twice) either the Russian or Spaniard would simply unpause and swear at them. Makes one somewhat embarrassed to be on the same team as them.

Why can't these guys just stick to their local servers? What is the point of flocking to a predominantly English speaking server on the bottom end of the planet (they likely lag like crazy) when you can't speak the language?

Have you ever played on Russian servers?These are the better and more experienced players.Some of then are even classified as professionals in Russia.

Its so bad even they want to get away from the Russian servers...

And the lag isn't that bad.Played worse on WOW.Its like 360ms lat to a Russian server.Its their adsl that's bad.Or what ever they use in Russia
