Dota 2

Yes i loved the MDL games.

Still hope for Secret, I think their main issues was being out drafted.
Now i can actually watch EG as i disliked PPD a lot...

This has been one of their issues for awhile now though. Puppan drafts haven't been as on point as they usually are for a long while.

But some of the Dota being played was top quality. Good signs considering this was the first big LAN of the new season.

Yeah there was defintely signs of life as i was skeptical but Forev MP and Midone are look pretty good.
Better drafts and they should of at least beaten OG to place 3rd.

Hi All

Are there any 5-stacks out there looking for a friendly regular skirmish?

We had a regular date but we have "outgrown" them to the point where it's not much of a challenge anymore.
We looking to play maybe once a week, 1 game, maybe 2 if time allows it, and must be captains mode. We would like to aim to start around 19:00-ish, as two of our payers are still at school.

Skill? I don't know really....
During the battle cup we all calibrated tier 4-5 with one at tier 6, should give you a decent indication. If I had to guess we'd be around 3k MMR, one guy maybe 4k, although I could be totally wrong.

Guess we'd have to play and see.
We a friendly bunch, no pressures or anything, and we are totally flexible with times etc. We actually all have real lives/family :)

So, drop me a pm or mail me at [email protected] and we can try set up a game.

Hi Havox,

We are busy creating a team again for DGL. Will contact you as soon as everything is sorted then we can have weekly scrims.

Ahoy

Sorry been on holiday for a week.

All good. Not sure we DGL quality (although one guy has played there before...) but would certainly be a learning curve. Happy to be test bunnies :)

hmm I got about 22 min into it....I'm a big EG fan but I have better things to do than watch RTZ in his boxers and PPD fix a toilet.

Lol I watched about 2 min while waiting for a game, didn't bother again.

Looks a bit meh from what I saw?

Did anyone watch the whole thing, is it worth it?

I am not sure what people expected? Its a fun inside look into the operating of the teams? Were you expecting a series of Free to Play?

Was expecting more depth with training etc. The manager seems to be hellva busy though poor oke

I think that the issue is that there are many interviews and videos out there where the pros talk about training and their routines and such. What people want is to humanise them, relate to them and see the inner workings of the team from a more psycho-social angle. Well, this is the way that I approach it.

Thought the same.

I enjoyed the video, and was happy with the way they presented it. I find it a lot more interesting as to who RTZ is, or Fear, or Demon is, than what their training routine is. It is something that I can relate to a lot more then to playing 7 - 8 prac scrims a day, and what their tool and techniques are to getting better.

The amount of effort managers of these (and any sporting team) go through is crazy. If you think about it, they are responsible for making sure all the players, get to every event, that their hotels are sorted, flights sorted, visas, personal needs, contract (if they actually exist) pick up, drop off, they have hardware they need... Everything... And you are doing this for generally younger folk, who are usually totally oblivious to these things themselves...

Almost fell out of my chair when RTZ and Sumail said their moms packed their bags for them. Wtaf...

All they do is play games, they don't mature as normal teens young adults would. Would make sense theyd rely on their mamas

I think that we forget how young these guys are. I mean, 20 is a bit old for RTZ but sumail is barely a teen.

I could not disagree more. These guys are faced with decisions that normal teens aren't. They are forced to make career decisions, move to entirely different countries. Just because someone has their mother pack their bags isn't a sign of maturity. Many wives pack for their husbands, hell my wife packs for me.
