Not at all.

Depended who I queued with.

The normal skill game I queued with Slaughter. The high skill game I queued with SLaughter and Pootitang. The Very High skilled game I queued with Pootitang and Enter Beast and the chinese lettering.

MM worked perfectly.

AH ok didn't realize you had different stacks.

Same for me, I also switch depending who I stack with. But I do sometimes feel dirty when I stack with my not-so-serious friends and pick Slark and just go mad.

Anybody tried playing last night?

Servers was proper *****ed!

Kept disconnecting everybody and eventually the game just disappears and you can't reconnect. Tried 3 games, none of them finished or scored.

Yep, played 2 games and the first did that. Was happy about it though :p was an AR game and the odds were not in our favor :")

I was pretty cheesed.....had a comfortable lead in each game, 90% chance to win, betted, and my battle pass quests done at the time we dc'd for good. :(

Yeah it was super annoying. Had a 5 stack and went all random. Playing support Kunkka, Had a big fight mid, I had just clicked down for a ship from the perfect position aaaaaaand everyone disconnected. We came back in and apparently the ship nabbed 3 kills though.
We lost that game horribly though...

Had smurfs in my last game....pricks.

I see this irritation is becoming more and more common.


Are people really that kuk in their bracket that they have to smurf?

I am actually considering starting a new account as I haven't played in months and would prefer calibrating lower, maybe 1k or so, that would be awesome!
 
Haaaa, just versed a smurf and we destroyed him, I called him out multiple times for being a smurf and never said a Damn word.

10 min before the game ended he rage quit. It brought a smile to my face.

Yeah I see a lot of smurf's around lately too.

Fact of the matter is, unless it's within their very first calibration period they are technically on the same hidden MMR as you.

What is more irritating though, and this happens because I often 4-5 stack, is the "Stack-Smurfs".
Basically it's 5 people that can seriously play, one guy goes and makes a new account and stacks with his 4 friends. The average party hidden MMR is then 30% down, so they then face people way lower than them.
This happened to us a few times. The one game, the guy predicted, and had a 16 game correct prediction streak. They destroyed us 78- 4 or something stupid, and we not complete noobs.

You could normally recognize them by seeing 4 players of 100+ Dota level ( I know it means nothing) and the 5th maybe a 2-3.

I really don't see the point of smurfing. For me it's a reflection of weakness because you can't hack it with your peers and then have to pick on newer players.
 
haha I want to find a way to drop my mmr by like 1-2k without throwing games :P

So over difficult ranked games :P but I don't want a smurf. any suggestions ???

I am in EU so i play a lot of ranked.

Problem with ranked MMR is, it's not calculated by some clever algorithm. Only winning or losing :)

I'd just spam some non-meta (aka rubbish) heroes right now and claim you "felt like a challenge"

There should be a mechanic where dota resets your MMR if you don't play for a while.

If you go through a period of not playing for a few months and then come back you're no longer at the skill level your MMR sits at. Then you get destroyed game after game. It isn't a sign of weakness to be frustrated by that. It is a legitimate problem.

You should never not be able to "hack it with your peers". If that is the case then the fault lies with the ranking system. I would think this is obvious.
 
I only play ranked party and I'm currently at 4812, I never play ranked solo as I find the people to be pure cancer even on EU.
My solo ranked is 4100.

I would love my party to be 1k lower haha, guess i should search non-ranked.

Well yeah i can play rubbish heroes or support heroes as i am definitely nowhere near 4k on support, hence why I play 99% core :P
I am extremely competitive and hate losing so i cannot for the life of me play ****ty heroes, lose a lot and enjoy Dota 2.

Although at 4.8k I have to play my really good heroes or get crushed :P
