Dota 2

I get about the same number of Russians, but I don't have a problem with them. They about the same as the rest at my skill level.
 
Is it jsut me, or has the scourge of the ruski's resurfaced after the patch. They were gone for a while.

If recent news is anything to go by, we may not have to worry about them much longer: Putin wants to pull the plug on Russian internet. Yay!
 

Have personally experienced how ridiculous this is.

Was playing Void on dire, my team was getting annihilated. Radiant decided to fountain dive after raxing mid and we team wiped them. I went from no gold to 4k in that fight. They did it again and I got another 3k out of that.

Seriously turned the game and we lasted alot longer than we should have. Still lost though.

So the aspect of it being a leveler in games where one side has a bad start but gets one good team fight mid game seems to work. Promotes consistency in play of the winning team and maybe a push away from bushing.

But I still prefer the old bounty setup though

Clearly you must play a lot of LoL at a high level to know so much about it.

I play both games, and the style of each game is different, but they are both fairly complicated. Is LoL easier to pickup than DOTA? Yes. Is LoL an easy to play game? Hell no. If it was, pros from the DOTA scene would play both games and make a killing doing so.

Dota is more complex, but a lot of it is arbitrary "hidden" complexity. This is due to engine issues that carried over from War3. Even the creators have acknowledged it and are working to remove some of it (see last set of patch notes). Things like "oh this spell works through BKB but this one doesn't", or this spell does some weird mix of damage types, etc etc.

I agree Dota 2 is better than LoL.
 
You guys do know that the bounty system has been tweaked severely? It's not nearly as powerful as it used to be.

EDIT: Just to clarify, there were and are no spells apart from one that had mixed damage type, which is Elder Titan's Ultimate being 50% magical and 50% physical damage. Composite damage (which got removed) was NOT 50/50 magical physical, this is a common mistake people made. Composite damage is damage that gets reduced by both physical and magic resistance, meaning that you could counter it by either stacking armour or magic resistance. The only thing it had going for it was that it went through magic immunity, otherwise it was a pretty ****ty damage type to have.

Guys who play ranked, did you have any Russian Zeuses that spam ult as soon as it's off cd lately?
 
Yeah, it's about the same as it was before.

I definitely wouldn't say that it's anywhere near to what it used to be, but it's not as broken now and fits with the current game style now
 
Played with a few such Zeus's none of them russian, most annoying and useless thing to do!

There are tons of them on EU ranked. Apparently when your rating is still TBD and you are in the calibration phase, it takes your total player damage into account. There were posts on some russian dota 2 forums where people are calibrated at 5k mmr after like 50 matches.
