Dota 2

Played a match yesterday, one of them got cocky and started to say how bad I was. I challenged him to a 1v1 mid only and wrecked his ass. Sweet revenge.
 
Did anyone else land up in russian filled games with the aim to play 3 hours in order to maybe get arcana item drops?

Most annoying game I've ever played, total of 8 russians with 3 on my team. I was the only one killing heroes naturally, which created some interesting conversations :p

After struggling for almost 90 minutes by myself, the one other SA player on my team finally also got gatvol since the naix on their team decided to sit in our base,wait for me to respawn and fountain kill me 3 times in a row (they got tired of me being defiant),and we started upsetting their creep equilibrium, which eventually ended up in towers being taken down and us being defeated 1h53min into the game.

Needless to say no items was gained :D

Played very little dota this weekend, the couple games I did play were infested with Russians... What changed?
 
Tons of people were complaining about this on reddit...best solution is to play a 5-stack, then if the other teams wants to prolong the game you stomp them and ff.

they want the game to go for 180 minutes so they can get an arcana drop or so they think.

you will see they will pick an axe and a wk every time very fast. generally also a tinker / natures / earth shaker.

then the axe will sit between your safelanes two towers and farm all the creeps.

just say abuse and game 180 mins, we wont push you.

then you will see they wont touch you, then lvl 6 you pwn them lol.

That is hilarious, will be hoping for some russians when I play again!

Don't forget Tide Hunter, had one sitting inbetween tower 1 and 2 with about 200 creeps around him. Seems so long as you don't attack the creeps they just circle around you and do nothing, was bizarre to watch, until I dropped Witch Doctor ulti on his ass from within the trees :p
 
Sigh, this doesnt actually do anything. The patch has changed the way items get dropped apparently. It is based on time, however its an accumulative time on your _account_ not on the game. So if you play 6* 30min games you have the same chance of dropping items in 1 180min game. These russians need to bugger off from our server. It is almost impossible to actually enjoy a game. Then when you tell them you aren't doing this bs abuse thing, they get all angry and upset and wanna report you.
 
Had a game with a whole pack of Russians. All asking for 180min game.

When it became apparent that some of us weren't going to comply they simply abandoned. Valve really needs to do something about this.
