Dota 2

Where are the DGL teams placed? In which pools? I want to follow your guy's games :)

The thing is that i dont understand is this about the support role,(I usually play a carry myself and like that) how am i supposed to get money to get wards ect when im not allowed to kill anything to do so i have tried this multiple times and all they do is moan about it then when i get the wards up they get dewarded and them im told im a crappy support -.- i just dont get it.

I feel you man. I tend to play a more offlane role. Sometimes Mid, sometimes support, hardly ever the hard carry. You just need to stick to your guns, and remind yourself that you are doing the right when the game is going well, and look at how you could of improved if the game isn't going well.

With regards to farm, it comes from different places. Being involved and staying alive in team fights, last hitting when you do happen to find yourself in a lane on your own, and the carry is in jungle, and also when you pull in the safe lane, let your creeps take the damage from the neutrals, and make sure you get the last hits on the neutrals.

Playing the support role can be the most annoying thing ever, but when were the one to win the fight for your team because you euls the Witch Doctor as he dropped Ulti, or something like that, it is such a good feeling.

Sometimes the mute button is your best friend in most cases.

He speaks the truth. I won't lie, there are some games I play better once I have muted most my team.

Well tbh im having tons of fun with Lina as a carry tbh, but it tends to be me getting ganked by at least 3 of them and my team standing there, me trying to tell the Hard Carries that they need to initiate so we can at least start the skirmish but its like im playing with people that like to build up for themselves with no regard to feeding and people farming.

Side note: Im so over being RIKI farmed on lina it is not funny, Although i have managed to sort out invis wards to keep myself alive with him around, little **** always stands right behind me.....it's like clockwork, think i have developed a "Riki Sense" :P

Riki is like the easiest thing to counter. Pick Sladar, and buy Force Staff. He drop smoke? Force Staff... You see him? Drop armour reduction on him. Just melts.

Been usuing my blink dagger more and more on Lina with a Riki around, just annoyes me how they all follow one person around like idiots XD, But lately Bounty seems to be a problem dewarding all the time, found Bounty more of a problem these days. Who are Lina's counters btw im guessing Spirit breaker, Riki and Bounty mostly are there any others? (Hard counters i mean)

BKB. Get that and all she can do is try right click. As for heros, I like taking a TA vs Lina cause of refraction, and pretty much any silence that can burst damage, so Puck comes to mind.

I have never had an issue with BKB tbh, if you have the mana to keep a 3 stack up you can pretty much auto attack things to death tbh but i have never faced a puck ....hmmmmmm must try him sometime, he a carry or a support or versatile like lina?

Depends on which support you're playing. CM can jungle for example. When you have surplus mana (which is pretty often) wander off to the nearest jungle campe and frostbite a creep. Cash. If you're playing sand king he can jungle like a beast with sandstorm. This sort of play style also gives you the benefit of giving your carry solo xp every now and then.

Otherwise take opportunities to farm where they present themselves. When your carry is forced out of lane or tps for a kill you have a chance to get some solo XP and farm. Take it.

Stacking and pulling in jungle camps also provides you with an opportunity to farm. When the jungle creeps are brought low enough by your creeps make sure you get that last hit. Finding farm as a support is a skill you will pick up over time the more you play with those heroes. Same as efficient farming as a carry.

Learn the art of double pulling too. Very useful for getting farm when you need it. If your opponents are counter-warding place your wards in unconventional spots. Even if the vision isn't ideal it is better than another dewarded ward. If you're worried about getting ganked try to get a strong core to accompany you on your journeys to ward. When your team pushes that is also usually a good time to drop offensive wards as your team advances. Just be sure to be close enough when the fight starts that you can contribute where needed.

Also if you're a Keeper of the Light your team simply needs to understand that KotL is a hero that pushes out lanes and takes farm. Just look out for heroes that work well with that sort of game. Heroes that want to kill early, dominate the lane, take the tower, and then start roaming to gank. Heroes like Pudge and Axe work well with a KotL.

Puck is a core. Falls off a little late game like a Lina tends to as his damage is magic based. His bursts aren't as impressive as Lina's either to be honest. Usually played as a mid as he needs early levels and a blink dagger to be really effective and is great at rune control.

Great teamfight hero.

Not sure if the pools are settled yet. We will play open Div because we're a new team, but we should do okay, I hope.... :D

Go check KOTL as jungler... It's insane. Saw a game (can't recall who the player was) in one of the TI qualifiers that played a jungle KOTL. He had aghs in less than 10 minutes. It was something to behold. Still can't get over it, actually... :D

LOL sounds awesome. I'm still working my way through the European replays but hopefully will get to that game eventually. If you remember which game it happened in in the meantime let me know I'd love to see that. :D

I had a Bristle Back game last night, and got my timings right when a Lina wanted to go on me. Popped the BKB and she tried her combo. Laughed it off and right clicked her down. Walked away with hardly any damage taken.

As Porchrat said, Puck is a core, usually played at mid. Needs the early levels, and can control the creep balance nicely if played right. Puck needs to gank and kill early, otherwise doesn't play well from behind. Also, very meh once the game goes late. Doesn't have enough right click. But when you pull off the combos, really fun to play. The mass silence is amazing.
