At this point I don't play Dota unless it is a 5 stack. Otherwise you're just too likely to get toxic people on the team.
 
I've been having a blast ever since I stopped taking the game so seriously, it's now just for fun mostly, which really gives the entire game a whole different feel. Not like I'm ever going to go pro or anything, so might as well enjoy it for what it is :D

My opinion is if you want a fun game play normally otherwise play ranked. I used to play ranked on the eu servers but these days I like the odd no stress game
 
Same here servers seems to be fixed won some loose some. Had some nice team mates. Going good so far :)

Then it seems like only me having issues, my game will randomly drop connection then I have to restart dota to get it to work again, wont reconnect to the game, checked if it was internet related but it didn't seem that way everything else was still working like it should

Maybe try changing to borderless window mode? I think that the option at least. I alt tab out of the client all the time and I never seem to have a fault.

I honestly don't notice a difference. While I am exploring the Ui I can freely move my mouse over to my second screen without having to Alt Tab and the Dota client won't minimize itself. And then when in game my cursor is restricted to only the game unless I alt tab.
