People don't hack, they imagine where you would be then respond to that. I hosted 60+ games on bnet after only playing AI+ for months to get a feel for things.
Now AI+ is predictable, but it denies better, stays behind creeps, always escapes. I can pwn the AI+ though, humans gave me terrible difficulties. I lost on bnet many times when I started to play there. I hosted an AI+ map and the humans lost.
The other day I had time and played a game, we were running down mid and I said "b" "I sense gank". We ran back then in to the sent forest and boom found a ganker and killed it. I watched the replay and sure enough the whole team was waiting for us.
You can predict things like
- chicken kill. You see your opponent standing still, his busy with a chicken, find it and kill it.
- gank. Your opponent is being harassed and suddenly he has a death wish, he is confident since his friend are close.
- lane balance is a problem. He will move to farm creep wave or stop creep wave.
Also it doesn't hurt to buy watchers so people don't gank you.
Now for being ganked, run around the long way. It is safer. Watch replays and host games for people, its the best advice.
Also, if people pull the opposing team sells, then there is usually 1 hero with imba items which will pwn you.
It helps to read up, or watch replays. Its more fun when its live and you can ask people WHY?!
Whats your nick on bnet?
Another fun story. I was Centaur laning against Riki. It went invis and I decided to nuke the place as much as I could. Centaur nuke stomp has a small AOE though. After watching the replay I saw I reduced his hp to 70hp from nuking. It looked like I knew where he was, but I just decided he was afraid and was standing close behind his creeps, but in clear ground. It worked.
