Downgrade on MTN - loose airtime?

Hi. Looking to downgrade from Anytime350 to Anytime200. Question is: do I loose my airtime? MTN says I will loose it, but a friend of mine went from Anytime350 to prepaid without loosing anything. Anyone have gone from Anytime350 to Anytime200 without loosing airtime? or loosing it? Just looking for some real experience.

Went from Anytime200 to Anytime100 and lost all my airtime and data. It sucks.

that was painful to read.

you lose the airtime when you change contract, since the airtime is only valid while you signed into that particular contract.
