Download Discrepency

I would like to know how this works.

I check my data balance with the CellC dashboard. It shows I have 670Mb left.

I download a 80 Mb file.

I check my data balance again.

Then it shows 477Mb.

And its not the first time this has happened. I am to scared to download anything or browse the internet.

Can't understand it.

Did you make sure you didn't have other software running like Windows Update or uTorrent or other updater software? These can take up some data.

+1. Check individually every application currently in memory, antivirus, by example Acrobat Reader for update options. All autostart applications must be verified.
As long your connection is active you can see amount of data transfered/received on Windows connection. More accurate figure is presented by the modem itself. Perhaps Cell C dashboard is able to show modem statistics. Otherwise use 3rd party aplication like MDMA.
