Can I use a download manager like IDM with Neotel Prime. Will it work, because I tried but no success
 
Hmmm yes jeanres pray tell how IDM would work with Neotel. I encountered problems way back in Feb. and seeing as I bought mine and can't use it anymore I will be very happy if you could share. After all sharing is caring :)

Cryptic1, When IDM ask you to fill in your password, ignore and press next. When I supply my password it would not work, but without the password it's working
 
I use IDM with my RS account on the Prime device. Works like a charm. I generally get 20% FASTER dl speeds with IDM and RS than what speedtest.net tunes me.
 
Ok guys please hold up. When I got Prime In Feb IDM worked but my dloads used to get messed up i.e. dloads used to get to either 80 or 90% & stop. If I remember the connection used to also go a little pear shaped. Neotel, at that time, suggested and confirmed that DAP was the way to go. Apparently free dloaders were advisable.

Now can you guys please confirm that IDM is working 100s again as my IDM is legal and I'd love to use again, seeing as there has been lots of updates since Feb.

I'm brand new to Neotel. Installed prime a few hours ago, but IDM seems to work fine. Busy to download a movie, hope you wrong with the 80% stop action.
 
Well all the luck Wag, I had a technician over on a Saturday morning and he said DAP was the way to go. Since then I've been using FDM lite and all's good. Please keep me posted on IDM.

If conditions are 100%, what is the max download speed for prime, and what is the best download speed ever recorded with neotel, at the moment I average 1.4 is it ok for neotel? Will a outside antenna make a big differance to the download speed
