How many bandwidth does the original wow (The first wow - not including the expansion pack) take to download?

I went and got WOW from CNA for R4.99 I haven't installed it yet.

Its the 14 Day trial edtion DVD ..

I'm not sure if its the first WOW but im sure that it would be cheaper than downloading it.....

Did i waste R4.99 ?

The Original game is 3.89GB. BC is 2.05GB. The updates to those are easily 5GB. Then the Lich King is another 1.2GB update.

The 14 day trial version, is just a streaming client. You will still need to download everything.

Are you sure about that Farquaon? Just a puny little client on a massive empty DVD? Why not just use CDs then? Because according to other online sources & reviews I've stumbled across, it does indeed include the content etc etc... :confused:

Does the wow website say how big the downloads are? like when you are about to install it, does it list all that kind of info?

The 14 day trial doesnt include all the patches that have come out.

Just a small FYI here;

If you after the "original" client because you lack a TBC/LK key you are wasting you time. The client is the same regardless of your subscription type/level.

You use the full 3.0.2 client to play at this stage even if you "only" have a vanilla key. From next week you will need WoTLK patched in as well.

probably becuase the production infrastructure is so geared to dvd now, that cd's cost more. I walked into Game in North London on Sat, and noted that there was nothing available on CD. Only DVD.

So true. I even recieved a stock market update the other day on a DVD, it was only a 400kb pdf file! They probably never heard of e-mail...

How does one possibly waste R4.99?

I saw those 14day trial cd's at CNA and said to myself : "Self, that's so darn cute, I might even buy a stack of them and use them around the house as WoW coasters "

CNA has got the full game for R129 and the TBC for R129 I just got them today but you still need to download the patches and there are a whole lot of them damb
