Are you connecting to the web via a caching proxy like squid? I had problems with my server when i had my squid configured wrong, my max object size was set at 10mb and when I tried to dl a certain 11mb file it would come out corrupted and I couldn't even delete the file! After having a look at configs and patching to newest version of squid it was fine again, but that damm file still wouldn't delete!!had to format partition!
