Are software downloads still zero-rated from the Vodacom website if you are downloading using a Vodacom connection? I ask because current Vodacom advertising says downloading from the Vlive site is free -- but it doesn't mention the Vodacom site generally, where some of the downloads can be fairly hefty, eg. the current Mobile Connect software which weighs in at around 75MB.

Are the VC servers connecting us to the Internet and counting our usage clever enough to know when we are moseying over to the VC site and will then stop counting data until we move on somewhere else?

Don't know about you, but for me my cap gets deducted when just accessing the Vodacom site.

And personally, I think thats complete BS.

I have to agree with OC , i have personally tested the site with a prepaid SIM. Browsing is not free but downloading from the site is free.

Wheunis , you welcome to test if you like.

Its BS that browsing your ISP's website is not zero rated all over.
