Downpipe on a G6 GTI

whats the price difference and from a stage one can you just upgrade or do you need other mods

+/- R800 upgrade for Revo.
Stage 1 - can work on a standard car.
Stage 2 - in some cars need some hardware mods like DP, a Golf R can do stage 2 standard.

I have Stage 1, DP + De cat, intake, bigger intercooler - standard mods.

what car and how much did that cost you...estimated value ?

Revo - 2900 on special
DP + Decat - 3200
Intake - 700, looking for a ITG intake now
IC - 5000, did it more to eliminate heatsoak, worth it imo

thats with Stage 2 , not just a Stage1 remap.
Even with Stage 2 or Stage2+, 220kw is a bit much for the 2.0TSI Roc.

I suspect there are a few more hardware mods involved and potentially a custom tune. 220kw would be pushing your luck on the stock k03 turbo, but 220kw is probably a bit low if he's gone for the k04 conversion (unless that's a wheel measurement and not flywheel)

Yeah i agree

Thanks for the info.
So i have decided to go with FRC, the downpipe + chip remap will be about R6500.
Friends i have spoken to have recommended them too.

Hey guys. Does doing any upgrades cause any problems with warranty. Like downpipe etc.

I'd tend to go with yes.

But it does depend on the dealer, the mod and what has gone wrong under warranty.

Some will won't assist *if* you're mod is related to whatever failed. Others just turn their noses straight away

what is a downpipe?

and what does it do?

I have a Naturally Aspirated S2000, quick at the coast, not that quick up here

Mods on an NA car don't do much - you'll gains, but they'll be snall. You can do things like making it breath better etc - but I doubt you'll notice much.

Plus, the S2000 is already squeezing quite a bit of power out ...

Turbo cars the main thing is increasing the boost

So I'm going to thread necro here and ask the OP for an update... :p
How is it going since you got the DP and software?
