There was some downtime this morning. We apologize for this downtime and is taking steps to avoid this in future. The official message from our hosting provider Hetzner:

We would like to apologise for the network outage experienced this morning in our Johannesburg Data Centre 2.

There was a total outage on the managed hosting section of the network between 07h40 and 08h30 and then intermittent loss of connectivity affecting a minority of servers until 11h10. The outage was as a result of a server misconfiguration on the network which conflicted with the network gateway address. This outage was an isolated and unprecedented occurrence on the Hetzner network .
