It has never been proven, that the technology of Young's company C2I2 was in any way superior to African Defence Systems
PS - I worked quite closely with the investigation into the arms deal
truth of the matter is that the South African government had little to do with the awarding of sub-contracts - these were the perogative of the primary contractors ( BAE etc )
This is actually entirely untrue. Each and every sub-system of the corvette combat suite, except for the three foreign procured items (Anti-Ship Missile, Hullmount Sonar and Search Radar) were nominated items of supply by the SA Navy.
C²I²'s IMS certainly was a superior technology (and product) than Thomson-CSF Detexis's Diacerto Databus. A host of reviews and reports prove this. Also the IMS was fully conformant to the SA Navy's combat suite specification whereas the Diacerto Databus was not in any way conformant.
It is also highly relevant that the US Navy has only in the last year adopted an advanced combat system network architecture that C²I² had fully developed over 10 years ago in terms of its IMS.
Either
xtermin8or lies when he claims that he worked quite closely with the investigators, or he is completely ignorant of the true facts.
In any case if he is confidant of his integrity and credibility, he should have no qualms about revealing his real identity.
But it is interesting that he now appears to be banned on this blog thread.
